Foynes/Shannon Estuary PWS Boil Water Notice. It has come to the attention of Uisce Éireann and Limerick City & County Council that the main water supply from the Foynes-Shannon Estuary Public Water Supply is potentially unsafe to drink due to the detection of cryptosporidium at the plant. As a result, following consultation with the HSE Health Service Executive, Uisce Éireann and Limerick County Council are issuing a Boil Water Notice with immediate effect to protect the health of consumers. This notice applies to all consumers supplied by the Foynes/Shannon Estuary Public Water Supply All consumers affected by this notice must boil their water before drinking.
