The Kinetico Premier Water Softener is unique in that hard water passes through twin-tanks of food-grade resin beads as it enters your home. These resin beads attract the calcium and magnesium ions which are in the hard water. In the Kinetico Premier water softener, a process known as ion exchange takes place which removes the calcium and magnesium, releases sodium ions into the water which then softens the water.
Continuous Soft Water
Kinetico introduced the innovative non-electric, twin-tank water softener to the UK market over 45 years ago – a patented design that means your home is supplied with continuous soft water 24/7. Most standard water softeners need to clean or regenerate using a salt or brine solution to clean away the calcium and magnesium mineral deposits they’ve collected. In most common single-tank water softeners, your home will be supplied with hard water for a short period of time while the water tank cleans itself. With the Kinetico twin-tank Compact Premier softener, this does not happen. You’ll have beautiful soft water 24 hours a day continuously. The twin tanks regenerate at different times, which means that while one is cleaning or regenerating itself, the other tank can continue to supply your home with softened water. This way, your boiler, appliances and plumbing system are constantly protected from hard water and you can have a luxurious bath or shower whenever you want.
